This past week before the strong winds arrived there were still some mackerel and Tope being caught.  On yer Marks  charters had a few Tope in Luce Bay and some of the small private boats that were out from Portlogan had some Tope, Mackerel were found mostly down towards Clanyard Bay. The small Boats also had some decent Pollack and a few codling and Bullhuss, the better Pollack came from marks south of Clanyard Bay towards The Mull of Galloway.    Shore Fishing hasn,t been too bad , there has still been a few Bass being caught as well as small Codling, Pollack and Dogfish.  L.S.A.A had there last beach match on the scar at Kirkcolm on Sat 18th Oct, Mark Dewar was victorious in this Match with 84cm and Runner Up was myself with 68cm, Mark had a Bass and 2 Flounders and I had 3 Flounders, I actually had 4 but our Club Rules are only 3 of each species to be measured. Mark won the longest Fish with the Bass of 43cm and I had the R/up with a Flounder of 25cm. The Results of the last Roving Match from Larbrax-East Tarbet Bay are as follows  1st  Mark Dewar 6lb9oz  2nd John Higgins 2lb5oz 3rd Colin Rothwell 2lb5oz      Heaviest Fish 1st Mark Dewar2lb 13oz 2nd John Higgins 1lb31/2oz 3rd Colin Rothwell 1lb2oz .

Beaches worth a try  are Craigenarget at Auchenmalg, Portlogan Beach, Ardwell Bay and Rockmarks to try would be Lairds Point , The Cheese Rock, and Morroch at Portpatrick, Mullhill at Portlogan and The Flat Rock at Mull of Galloway                               Tight Lines Eric
