Sea Fishing during September has not been brilliant, mainly due to strong winds.
However some nice Pollack still being caught from rockmarks around Mull of Galloway, Portlogan and Portpatrick.
Some Codling, Dogfish, Wrasse coming from Cheese Rock and Dunskey Castle areas south of Portpatrick.
A few Bass, Flounders, small Coalfish etc. still being caught from Sandhead, Portlogan and Larbrax beaches.
L.S.A.A had their last Summer League match on Monrieth beach, where lots of Dogfish, small Pollack, Rockling were caught.
Boatfishing has been very limited due to the strong winds, but when Boats have been out they are still catching some nice Pollack, Wrasse, Gurnards and small Codling .
A few better sized Pike have been caught at Whitefield Loch, Glenluce .
There is a Competition here on the last Sunday of every month, times available from Glenluce Angling Club’s website.(?)
