All Beach Marks have been pretty hard going with the calm bright weather but those who brave the darker hours have managed to land some decent fish.

Fishing has been good this past month, with Boats fishing LuceBay landing Tope up to 72lbs, Huss up to 19lbs, Soothhounds up to 10lbs and Thornback Rays up to 15lbs. Spent  a few hours last weekend with a friend of mine from the Cotswolds Fly Fishing for Pollack with Spike on Go West from Drummore, weather dictated that we fish the Portlogan side on the Saturday where we had lots of Pollack up to 6lbs , on Sunday we tried round the Mull of Galloway,  but only landed a few fish over 3lbs but lots of smaller fish, then we spent a couple of hours for a Tope but didn,t manage one but had one Bullhuss.  Spike,s Boat and Ian Burrets Boats from Drummore are ideal Boats for fly fishing for Pollack from, Ian can be contacted on 01776840346 and Spike on 07748593742 . The Shore Fishing has also been good , but best results have been into darkness as weather has been really warm and bright, Terrally Bay has been a good shot for a few Smoothhound, Dogfish etc. Lefnoll Beach has threw up some Dogfish, Flounder, small Whiting etc, Lighthouse Pt.at Cairnryan worth a try for Tope, Mackerel, Bullhuss and a few other species.
